Manila Ocean Park Travel Information and Best Tips

Manila Ocean Park photo by the Jennifer The Travel Seeker

Manila Ocean Park is always open and summer is definitely the best time to visit and enjoy with your family or friend to this water park.  Because you can take them even on weekdays, the parks will not be as busy and jam packed as it normally is on weekends.  You can roam around freely and stay as much as you can.  There is no time limit.

There are nine best attractions included this are the following:

  • Ocenarium
  • Jellies Exhibit
  • Penguin Talk Show
  • Birds of Prey Kingdom
  • Sharks & Rays Dry Encounter
  • Trails of Antarctica
  • Fish Spa
  • Symphony Night Show
  • Yexel's Toy Museum

Useful tips

1. Avoid going on weekends: We went on a Sunday and there were a lot of people, most of it bus loads of children on school trips. Go when it's a bit less hectic and if unavoidable, inquire if there are any groups scheduled, and if so, how many.

2.Go to the shows' venues early. The seats get filled up quickly and the way to the venues can be long and winding so allot about 30 min of "travel time" to these shows. As with all theme parks, use comfy shoes.

3. Eat a heavy meal before going because the places to eat are quite limited and a bit pricey.

4.Be prepared to get wet and bring extra clothes, a wetsuit, swimming clothes, and a towel if you plan to participate in the encounters.

How To Get To Manila Ocean Park?

The most direct way to go to the Manila Ocean Park is to take a taxi or hire a car. A cheaper and adventure-filled alternative would be to take the LRT Line 1 and get off at the United Nations (UN) station. Cross Taft Avenue going to Times Plaza and turn right. Walk along Taft Avenue until you reach the corner of Taft and Kalaw St., then turn left. Go straight 3 blocks to Quirino Street, passing by the National Library, Rizal Park and Museo ng Maynila. Turn right after Rizal Park.

The park is right behind Quirino Grandstand on the left side, From Makati or other areas serviced by the MRT-1, stop at Taft Station, then transfer to LRT Line 1. Stop at the UN station and take the same route. Or take a PVP Liner bus at Buendia, Makati or Ayala Avenue and stop at Rizal Park, then walk through until you reach the Quirino Grandstand across from Manila Ocean Park.
